About Anne Buzzelli

I'm a Registered Dietitian with a private nutrition practice in beautiful & historic Staunton, Virginia. My focus is on optimizing my clients' health using a drug we ingest every day: FOOD! Real, unadulterated, local, compassionately-raised food. I take a Functional Nutrition approach, which seeks the root cause rather than focusing on symptoms. I can suggest supplements to super-charge healing, as well as order laboratory tests to sleuth out the causes of a health issue. My favorite tests are: SpectraCell's Nutrient Deficiency test, Great Plain's Organic Acids Test (OAT) and GeneVive's genetic test (hyper-personal DNA assay that optimizes food choice and directs exercise style). I also offer Neurofeedback, which is an FDA-approved form of stress relief. Want to permanently upgrade your brain to experience less stress, which causes inflammation, which causes/contributes to EVERYTHING? Get more info at www.StauntonNeurofeedback.com.

A couple thoughts about Eating Locally I heard a story once that I’ve had trouble confirming. I’m pretty sure it’s true, but let’s just call it an allegory: Once in […]

Ordering genetic testing is ultimately your call, but Federal Laws are in place to protect you. The PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) prohibits use of genetic information by insurance companies (for example for determining rates) or employers. GINA (Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008) is an act by Congress to protect the genetic information […]

Popping a Tylenol or two is so common that it’s hard to imagine it could cause you serious harm. But, aka. acetaminophen is given by prescription only in some countries! Besides being linked to Autism, this study suggests that the drug goes beyond blunting negative sensations… it seems to also cancel out positive sensations and emotions. After taking Tylenol, people […]
